About the role

Under direct supervision of a licensed nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs a variety of routine duties involving care of medically or mentally ill acute or sub-acute patients; performs direct patient care; observes and reports changes in the behavior and physical status of patients; provides a clean and safe environment; and performs related duties.

• Possession of a current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate issued by the California Department of Public Health** • Status must show "Valid" at:

• Possession of a valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate is required for some positions.

• To qualify for these positions, your CNA certificate MUST be issued by the California DPH.

• One-year full-time employment is equivalent to 2,000 hours (2,000 hours of qualifying work experience is based on a 40-hour work week).
• Candidates must achieve a passing score on the Training and Experience Evaluation to continue in the selection process and will be placed on the confidential eligible list in rank order according to their final score.
