Description

  • Overseeing and inspecting the paving crew in all phases of the project
  • Interpret and implement construction plans
  • Read, understand, interpret and enforce safety policies and practices
  • Assist the Superintendent with scheduling the projects in logical steps based upon employee and equipment availability and completion dates
  • Coordinate the requisition of supplies and material with the Superintendent
  • Confer with managers, sub-contractors, and Project Managers on a daily basis or as needed
  • Must be willing to work the hours needed to complete projects in a timely manner while meeting quality standards
  • Manage paving crew to ensure that Werner Construction's high quality standards are consistently met

Job Requirements

  • Must have some concrete paving experience
  • The ability to read, understand and implement construction drawing is required.
  • Must possess excellent organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
  • This position requires a self-starter who is highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to read and understand project plans.
  • Must be able to effectively manage employees and work with other Management staff.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel is recommended.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is highly desirable.
