Description

  • Assist core drill operator in setting up and operating drilling equipment to obtain core samples
  • Move drills, supplies, and equipment
  • Set up drills, build drill decks and other structures
  • Move and carry steel drill rods, core tubes, and casing
  • Transfer core samples from core tubes to core boxes
  • Label core samples indicating area and depth from which sample was obtained
  • Mix drill-mud
  • Maintain, repair and clean equipment
  • Keep work area safe, clean, and free of obstacles
  • Maintain water lines and supply pumps
  • Use hand and power tools
  • Operate vehicles and equipment including water trucks, tractors, and forklifts
  • Other duties as may be assigned

Job Requirements

  • Able to read, write, and communicate clearly to others
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
  • Required to lift up to 100 pounds
  • Required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Required to climb ladders and climb on equipment
  • Regularly required to work 12-hour shifts (day and night shifts) for up to 20 days at a time
  • Required to work in extremely hot or cold environments, and extremely wet conditions
  • Required to travel for multi-day assignments away from home
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Must pass the pre-employment drug screen
  • Must live in the USA and be authorized to work in the USA
