Description

  • Preparing construction sites, materials, and tools
  • Loading and unloading of materials tools, and equipment
  • Operate a wide variety of hand and power tools
  • Perform building and construction work which includes, but is not limited to concrete, steel, wood, and finishes
  • Site cleanup duties
  • Follow all health and safety regulations and policies
  • Receive and carry out instructions

Job Requirements

  • Work well as part of a team
  • Measure accurately
  • Work at heights exceeding 20 feet
  • Work alone once instructions are given
  • Work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • Have basic knowledge of construction procedures and practices.
  • Own basic tools: Toolbelt, carpenter pencil, utility knife with blade, carpenter's square, 16 oz. or larger hammer, tape measure, sheet metal hand shear, cats paw for framing 9-10" size, and chalk box.
  • 1 year of on-the-job construction experience or at least 6 month of on-the-job experience with a Building Trades Degree or Journeyman Certification is preferred.
  • Be able to lift up to and in excess of 75 pounds
  • Be able to work in a variety of adverse weather conditions and elements
  • Be able to make repetitive movements with bending, twisting, and climbing
  • Have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Be able to wear proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and any other safety related equipment
