Description
- Lead the execution of architectural and engineering services contracts
- Develop innovative architectural designs, layouts, details, drawings, and specifications for various building projects
- Facilitate collaboration between architectural and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions
- Manage procurement and subcontracting processes, including document preparation, technical bid evaluations, and award recommendations
- Apply design expertise and critical thinking to project assignments, promoting a culture of innovation, teamwork, and client satisfaction
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
- Actively working towards professional architectural registration
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings, including drug tests, physical exams (if required for the site), and background checks
- Must qualify for a Department of Energy badge for site access
- Proficient in architectural design, understanding of construction methods, materials, and project deliverables
- Familiarity with design and construction standards, including NFPA, OSHA, ANSI, IBC, UFCs, and the USGBC LEED Rating System
- Ability to conduct code reviews and produce compliance reports/drawings
- Effective communication skills, capable of addressing complex technical issues and proposing solutions
- Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and producing detailed architectural construction documents
- Proficiency in CADD applications (e.g., Autodesk suite, MicroStation), Microsoft Office, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Experience in developing specifications using CSI Masterformat or SpecsIntact is preferred
- Strong presentation skills, with the ability to discuss technical topics confidently
- Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university is preferred
- LEED AP certification is preferred
- Openness to relocation post-assignment
