About the role
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you'll own the production processes that build our satellites - from process design and validation through ramp to rate. You'll drive yield, cycle-time, and throughput, lead new product introduction, and specify the equipment and tooling that let us scale. This is a hands-on role for someone who has owned high-rate manufacturing processes in production and wants to build a manufacturing engineering function from a strong foundation. This position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering leadership team. We are redefining how satellites are designed, manufactured and used - so we're looking for candidates with passion, deep knowledge and direct experience. If that's your experience, then we'll be immediately wow-ed. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving our success. Our team members have a strong sense of dedication and responsibility; this includes a strong commitment to our mission to create an entirely new suite of global capabilities to improve lives, business efficiencies and build a smarter planet. This means that there will be times when extra hours, including nights and weekends, may be needed to meet critical deadlines and mission goals. In return, we offer a dynamic work environment with opportunities for professional growth and development and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a high-growth industry.
What you'll bring
- 5+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience in a high-rate production environment.
- Proven ownership of process design, validation, and ramp for complex electromechanical products.
- Strong DFM, GD&T, and root-cause / problem-solving skills (8D, DMAIC, PFMEA).
- Hands-on, data-driven, and comfortable leading on the production floor.
- BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related Engineering, or equivalent.
