About the role
COUNTRY Financial is seeking a dynamic experienced, and highly motivated Guidewire Solution Architect to join the Commercial & Agribusiness Insurance Application Development team. As a member of the team, you will work closely with other enterprise and solution Architects, technology development teams and business units during the development and implementation of the new Guidewire PolicyCenter policy administration system supporting farm and commercial lines of business as well as working with the technology team supporting the commercial lines of business already in production. This key role provides oversight and technical direction to teams comprised of business partners and technology team members from COUNTRY Financial, a System Integrator and Software Vendors to deliver solutions. You will work closely with software vendors, and System Integrator vendors and engage with many areas across COUNTRY Technology to ensure successful delivery of system functions that meet business partner expectations. You will work with senior leadership to clear blockers and share the successes of the teams. How does this role make an impact? Do you have what we're looking for? What you'll bring
- Proven experience working developers on technical requirements to design solutions.
- Demonstrated experience providing guidance on data model changes and code quality, including support of teams in code reviews.
- Proven ability to work with support teams resolving complex issues related to performance.
- Experience in creating process diagrams for business solutions.
- Be able to present to leadership or business audiences.
- Ability to do impact analysis of a change to a system you support, and other systems impacted.
- Must be able to perform under pressure, multitask, prioritize, and show appropriate sense of urgency.
- Proven ability of working within an Agile development life cycle (including a strong understanding of the interactions between engineers, analysts, and testers)
- Experience working on large strategic, multi-phase projects involving multiple teams and 50+ employees.
- Experience using Rally.
- Experience working in a SAFe Agile environment.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language.
