About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Machine Group in Conway, AR. This role is responsible for the design, improvement, and support of our custom manufacturing and automation systems used across Vestcom’s production network. This position requires demonstrated mechanical engineering expertise and independent judgment in solving moderately to highly complex design and process challenges. The individual in this role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in engineering, manufacturing/production, and maintenance to optimize performance, ensure safety compliance, and enable scalability in production. This is an on-site position operating on a Monday–Thursday, 05:00–15:30 schedule.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of engineering experience in mechanical system design, robotics, or automation in a manufacturing or R&D setting,
• Proficiency in CAD and mechanical design tools (such as Inventor and AutoCAD) along with strong hands-on mechanical ability and analytical skills.
• Deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles, systems, components, and familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation, combined with demonstrated curiosity, active listening, and a willingness to ask questions.
• Ability to travel up to 10%
