About the role
Beamline Welding Robot Rework Technician programs, troubleshoots, and operates automated welding systems. They specialize in repairing, modifying, or "reworking" defective welds produced by robotic cells to ensure they meet quality, structural, and blueprint specifications. This position sets up, programs, runs, and maintains automated welding robots, focusing on loading/unloading beams, reading blueprints, monitoring weld quality with gauges, performing basic maintenance, troubleshooting errors, and ensuring safety to produce consistent, high-quality beam components on the welding robotic cell, requiring basic MIG/TIG skills and strong attention to detail.
What you'll bring
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience with stamping and roll forming presses and manufacturing
- Ability to read blueprints/technical drawings, schematics, welding symbols with strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of measuring tools
- Ability to adapt and create welding jigs
- Detail-oriented, good problem-solving, teamwork, physical stamina (lifting, standing )
- Manual welding certificate required.
- MIG/TIG often required
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting
- Physical ability to lift and move parts
- Preferred experience with Siemens PLCs
