About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to deepen CoCounsel’s capabilities for one of the highest-value workflows in the legal market: transactional practice. CoCounsel is Thomson Reuters’ generative AI platform for legal professionals, already trusted across law firms for research, drafting, and review. The next opportunity includes deal work across M&A, financings, real estate, capital markets, diligence, drafting, and negotiation. As Senior Director, Product Management – Transactional Use Cases, you will own the discovery and definition of what CoCounsel needs to become for deal lawyers. You will work closely with transactional attorneys, translate customer needs into a prioritized roadmap, and lead a team of product managers to turn that roadmap into shipped product. The role reports to the Co-Head of Product for CoCounsel Legal.
What you'll bring
- 5+ years of experience as a deal lawyer at an AmLaw 100 firm
- , with hands-on transactional experience in areas such as M&A, finance, capital markets, real estate, or similar.
- Comfort working with generative AI and modern product tooling.
- Ability to engage credibly with Engineering teams about what is realistic and feasible to build
- Strong creative instincts and customer empathy.
- Experience leading or developing product management teams.
- Experience translating complex transactional workflows into product or technology solutions.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Marketing, and go-to-market teams.
