About the role

Located in East Orange, NJ, we are looking for dependable Customer Payments & Support Specialist who thrives in a very busy environment and wants to play an important role on a great team. This role serves as the first impression of the company, but is also responsible for processing customer payments and completing daily office tasks , such as stocking the office and answering the phone. You will be responsible for providing customers with the best possible experience, while also managing the cash register. Please note this role requires occasional weekend hours and mandatory overtime (paid time and a half!) as our store needs constant coverage. Hours during the week are typically 7:30-5:30/6pm and weekends are 9-3pm. If this sounds of interest to you, please submit your application today!

What you'll bring

• Additionally, you must be able to answer customer inquiries, provide basic company information, and balance daily cash register receipts.
• The ideal candidate must have strong math skills and be comfortable using a calculator.
• Proven ability to handle large cash amounts responsibly and do mental math without relying on a register.
• A positive attitude, clear communication, and willingness to help.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Ability to work weekend or overtime hours when needed.
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Basic Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
• Other ad-hoc requests as needed
• 2+ years of experience in office support, check cashing, or banking for businesses highly preferred.
• some college is a plus.
