About the role
Apex is seeking a talented Water or Wastewater Project Manager to support New England based projects. The selected employee will provide technical leadership for a variety of water or wastewater system design-related projects, including treatment plants, pump/booster stations, and water distribution systems. Important: This position will manage Civil Engineering design projects related to Water or Wastewater Infrastructure. It is not related to IT, software, technology, or any other type of project management so candidates with those backgrounds will not be considered.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or related Engineering discipline and 8+ years of related water or wastewater design experience, including project management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with clients, staff, subconsultants and contractors through effective leadership, and demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of state and federal regulatory framework and experience interacting with regulators in the local and technical areas where Apex does work.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong desire to manage and mentor junior staff.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required.
- Registered Professional Engineer or other Professional Registrations as appropriate for their primary field of expertise in State(s) where Apex does work or ability to obtain same by reciprocity is strongly preferred
