Description

  • Trouble shoot and repair various types of welding equipment
  • Trouble shoot and service gas and diesel engines
  • Perform preventative maintenance and functional testing on various types of welding equipment
  • Ability to work in shop on both plasma and welding equipment
  • Enter service orders and research customer records on computer
  • Certify equipment to manufacturer standards
  • Set-up and install new welding and automation equipment
  • Performs other tasks as assigned or necessary

Job Requirements

  • Electrical/electronic technician degree or prior experience as welding repair technician
  • Lift equipment from floor to work bench weighing up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
  • Ability to move equipment weighing over 100 lbs
  • Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, AC drives and 3 axis machines a plus
  • Possess strong mechanical, electrical and electronic skills
  • Read repair orders, manuals, reports, computer screen, etc.
  • Complete tasks and solve problems independently with little supervision
