About the role
Teach English to Children in Japan! Successful candidates must have native English fluency, have the ability to work with a wide range of ages (student ages range from six months to 18 years old), possess good communication skills, be approachable, and be open-minded to cultural differences. The candidate must also be creative and have a willingness to learn Amity's teaching methods in addition to improving their own teaching skills. Teaching and/or business experience, as well as Japanese language ability is helpful, but not necessary. Teachers are expected to speak only English with the students at all times. Candidates must have a BA/BS degree (all majors considered) and have completed all of their elementary and secondary education primarily in English. Initial contracts require a minimum 1 year commitment. Amity hires year-round for open teaching positions at all of our branches. Candidates are welcome to submit applications at any time. What you'll bring
- English: Native level
- Desire and ability to work with young children (ages range from six months to 18 years old, but are predominantly elementary school age and below)
- BA/BS Degree from a university where English is the primary language

- Completion of elementary, secondary, and university education primarily in English only
- Ability to work a full-time 40-hour workweek from Tuesday to Saturday
- Ability to work 10AM-7PM, 11AM-8PM and 12PM-9PM as decided by the branch school manager
