About the role

We are seeking an inspirational, experienced Music teacher, enthusiastic about teaching IB MYP and DP Music, and eager to contribute and collaborate as a key member of CA’s dynamic whole-school Arts department. CA is proud to have a robust and joyful Music program, and we are looking for a teacher who can continue to infuse energy and excitement into our program and inspire our young musicians. The ideal candidate will have experience leading orchestra and string ensembles, but music teachers with other specialties are encouraged to apply as well. We are seeking an inspirational, experienced Music teacher, enthusiastic about teaching IB MYP and DP Music, and eager to contribute and collaborate as a key member of CA’s dynamic whole-school Arts department. The ideal candidate will have experience leading orchestra and string ensembles, but music teachers with other specialties are encouraged to apply as well.

What you'll bring

• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching Music in a secondary school setting
• Demonstrated successful experience coordinating student productions
• Must have a teaching certification and/or relevant academic qualification
• Successful experience teaching DP Music and MYP Music/Performing Arts
• 5+ years of relevant teaching experience
• Demonstrated ability to support the diverse learning needs of students in a class and to collaborate effectively with Learning Support and EAL specialists
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for connecting with students beyond the classroom, through athletics, co-curriculars, community engagement, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong organizational, communication, administrative and interpersonal skills
