We are seeking a seasoned Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee high voltage (HV) project designs for our Engineering team. The successful candidates will join a dynamic group, taking the lead on multi-disciplinary Transmission & Distribution projects both in Ireland and the rest of Europe. This role involves client site visits for requirements validation, crafting high-quality proposals, and report generation. This position requires an innovative and seasoned professional to lead electrical engineering endeavors, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards. What you'll bring
- Minimum of 3 years in HV electrical design, with expertise in 110KV, 33KV, and 140KV ranges.
- Proficient in utility and construction plant design, from substations to new builds, with a focus on primary and secondary engineering (protection & control systems).
- Skilled in design software (ETAP, Eplan, AutoCAD) or similar types of software and engineering simulation tools relevant to electrical and substation design.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HV transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, and Neutral Earthing Resistors (NER), including design load calculations.
- Proven field experience with HV contractors or utilities, essential for practical implementation of design theories.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- People management and strong team coordination abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to act as a team player and initiative-taker.
