About the role
The Senior Platforms Engineer is responsible for the strategic design, deployment, and optimization of complex infrastructure platforms and systems, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. This qualified candidate will have proven experience as a technical lead or platform owner for digital workplace or AI initiatives. This role will maintain ownership throughout the entire lifecycle of AI agents and automation, handling intake, governance, versioning, monitoring, and retirement in production environments. An expected focus of this role is to deliver impactful AI value and usage reports, presenting productivity improvements, risk assessments, and cost optimization metrics to leadership and business stakeholders. This role leads advanced troubleshooting, performance tuning, and technical support activities, serving as the primary escalation point for complex issues and collaborating across teams to drive continuous improvement. The Senior Platforms Engineer also oversees resiliency, disaster recovery and backup strategies, develops comprehensive reporting frameworks, and ensures compliance with industry standards and best practices. The candidate will have designed and implemented secure, enterprise-grade low-code applications for regulated and sensitive data, ensuring compliance and robust protection measures. Additionally, this position fosters a culture of knowledge sharing by mentoring junior engineers, organizing training sessions, and promoting cross-functional collaboration to enhance documentation and information sharing.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, related field or equivalent experience required
- Five (5) or more years of relevant experience required.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management - Setting up, configuring, monitoring, and optimizing the components of cloud infrastructure.
- Computer Networking - A system in which multiple computers are connected to each other to share information and resources.
- Cybersecurity Risk Management - The process of developing cyber risk assessment and treatment techniques that can effectively pre-empt and identify significant security loopholes and weaknesses, demonstrating the business risks associated with these loopholes and providing risk treatment and prioritization strategies to effectively address the cyber-related risks, threats and vulnerabilities, ensuring appropriate levels of protection, confidentiality, integrity and privacy in alignment with the security framework.
- DevSecOps - A set of practices that automates the integration of security at every phase of the software development lifecycle, from initial design through integration, testing, deployment, and software delivery, with an aim towards shortening the systems development life cycle and pas well as continuous delivery and a security first approach.
