About the role
Trane in Tempe, AZ is hiring for a Controls Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for hardware and software design activities for small building automation systems.
What you'll bring
- Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Construction, Engineering Technology, or equivalent/related experience
- Must have the ability to work as part of a team and must be able to work in a structured environment and maintain well organized records.
- Some travel to construction sites within the district to determine controls solutions.
- Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required.
- Preferred experience in the HVAC industry such as Technician, project management, or estimating; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Windows operating system and Microsoft Office product knowledge. • Familiarity with the operation and design of HVAC Systems, Building Automation Systems, and/or Temperature Controls preferred.
- Experience with CAD program a plus
- as well as basic understanding of electrical drawings and schematics preferred.
