About the role
CARIAN is seeking a Project Controls Scheduler – Electric Distribution (Primavera P6) to support major electric utility distribution capital programs. This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, analyzing, and reporting on detailed project schedules in Oracle Primavera P6. This role requires strong attention to detail, schedule discipline, and the ability to support multiple active distribution projects in a fast-paced utility program environment. This role may be based in Morristown, NJ; Akron, OH; or Reading, PA, with client-site presence and travel as required by project needs.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or a related field required.
- 4+ years of experience in project controls, scheduling, construction management, or capital project delivery.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Primavera P6 required.
- Strong understanding of schedule development, activity sequencing, logic ties, critical path analysis, progress measurement, schedule updates, and variance reporting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting.
- Ability to analyze schedule data and communicate findings clearly to project teams and stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, construction teams, contractors, project controls personnel, and client representatives.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to work at client and project locations as required.
