About the role

The Store Manager is responsible for sales and profitability of the store and directly supervises associates in a Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts retail store. Duties include management functions, such as purchasing, budgeting, accounting, and personnel work, in addition to supervisory duties. The Store Manager also provides over-the-counter direct sales to customers, takes orders in-person and by phone, and supports the overall success of store operations through promotion of sales programs and other customer and team-related activities. • Monitor sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods, calling on and visiting customers as required by the needs of the business or assigned by your District Manager.
• Maintain and submit call logs as required by the District Manager.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• at least 2 years of auto parts experience
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• A valid driver's license with good driving record (Class E license is required for Missouri locations)
