About the role
The Systems Configuration & Supply Chain Management Specialist supports a small Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) team responsible for maintaining the configuration, inventory, licensing, and lifecycle management of hardware, software, and technology assets supporting Department of Defense (DoD) mission systems. Success in this position requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage large volumes of technical data across multiple concurrent projects.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting configuration management, asset management, logistics, procurement, or technical program support.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining highly accurate technical documentation and inventory records.
- Experience managing hardware inventories, software inventories, or enterprise asset databases.
- Experience working with Microsoft Excel and enterprise asset management tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience supporting DoD or Federal Government programs.
- Experience with Configuration Management (CM) principles.
- Familiarity with CMDBs, ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, or similar enterprise management tools.
- Experience maintaining software licensing, maintenance agreements, or vendor contracts.
- Familiarity with NIST SP 800-161 Supply Chain Risk Management concepts.
