About the role
As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to participate in the following benefits programs: Our Drivers are the first and last Active Day employee that our members interact with each day. Drivers operate and maintain mobility buses, providing safe, courteous on- and off-boarding assistance, and timely transport to and from our centers. Drivers escort members door-to-door in all weather conditions, provide transportation for field trips, take members to medical appointments, and run errands for the center. All team members are expected to lead by example, maintaining a positive attitude; being a thoughtful, supportive, productive and dependable co- worker; keeping our members safe; and always working to enhance the health and happiness of the people we serve and those who care for them.
What you'll bring
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to multi-task and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and state/vehicle-specific driver credentials.
- Prior experience working with seniors and/or adults
- Able to work a flexible schedule.
- able to routinely andrepeatedly exit and enter the vehicle to assist members with on- and off-boarding.
- Able to pass required physical exams including Department of Transportation (DOT) exam.
- Where applicable, certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and Passenger Assisted Safety &Sensitivity (PASS) are required and will be facilitated as part of job training.
