About the role

The Electrical Engineer  is responsible for leading the development of complete electrical design packages, including schematics, layouts, and bills of materials that meet manufacturing, regulatory, and client requirements. This role requires advanced technical knowledge of low- and medium-voltage electrical control equipment, as well as the ability to collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and client teams.

What you'll bring

• 3+ years of electrical engineering design with Switchgear in the marine, heavy industrial, and oil & gas industries.
• 1+ years of experience with electro-mechanical power system design, including low/medium voltage power distribution, motor control centers, controls integration, and arc flash protection.
• Understanding of generator controls, protective relays, short circuit/coordination studies, and complex system integration.
• Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, Promis*E, and related electrical CAD tools.
• Ability to read and understand client-supplied job specifications and one-line diagrams to create design criteria for project development.
• Strong knowledge of applicable electrical standards (IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, UL).
• Familiarity with ERP/PLM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to work on fast-paced, short-turnaround projects.
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills with an emphasis on cost, safety, and quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication
