About the role
Due to increased workload and securing of new clients across the Infrastructure and Real Estate sectors, Turner & Townsend has a new opportunity for an Associate Director to join our growing Contract Services division in our UK offices. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to: The wider team also includes specialists in procurement and contract strategy, claims management and dispute resolution services. We are the first consultancy to be recognised by the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) for excellence in the procurement processes that it provides for clients in the construction sector. Our Team received a Procurement Excellence Programme Award demonstrating excellence in our procurement and supply chain activities. The individual will work and lead our highly skilled team delivering best-in-class strategic procurement and contract advice, including end-to-end procurement services to some of the larger brands and on the most exciting programmes and projects. This role will be a part of our growing Contract Services team and play a significant part in the continued expansion of our team and our services in this exciting period of growth, such as Sustainable Procurement, Transformation, Renewables, Digital Procurement and Net Zero Strategies.
What you'll bring
- To deliver for our clients, we are looking for a mixture of the following:
- Experience in and/or knowledge of regulated procurement, in particular Public Contract Regulations 2015 with an awareness of the Green Paper and potential changes to the public procurement regime.
- Leading strategic major procurement projects or programmes for Public and Private sector clients.
- Commission, client relationship, and people management
- Experience of developing and using various forms of contracts with particular focus on NEC and JCT.
- Have achieved, working towards or willing to work towards MCIPs accreditation.
- Business generation including bid development
- (SC) Security Clearance – currently valid or could be reinstated
- Ability to lead and develop key strategies and documentation for major procurement projects that complies with Public Sector Regulations or equivalent.
- Able to manage and supervise the delivery of others for a successful outcome.
- Able to build strong, professional client relationships and proactively identify and resolve client’s issues.
- Excellent communication skills, adaptable, with a determination to succeed.
