About the role

This is a key full-time, grant-funded position for Partners for Rural Impact and the Full-Service Community Schools (FSCS) Initiative.   Reporting to the  Project Director , FSCS Lee Menifee Powell Wolfe,   the School Coordinator  serves as the on-site implementation lead responsible for ensuring students and families receive coordinated, high-quality  supports  and opportunities that improve attendance, engagement, academic success, and  postsecondary  readiness. The School Coordinator coordinates and leverages school and community resources to expand services,  eliminate  duplication, and address  identified  student and family needs. The School Coordinator will engage in joint planning that entails a full-time commitment and ensures the program  is supporting  the four FSCS pillars: 1) holistic integrated student  supports ; 2) expanded, enriched learning time and opportunities from cradle to career; 3) family and community engagement; 4) collaborative leadership and practices. The School Coordinator is charged with coordinating academic, social, and health services through partnerships between a) public elementary and secondary schools; b) the schools’ local educational agencies (LEAs); and c) community-based organizations, nonprofit organizations, and other public or private entities. The School Coordinator will dedicate 100% of time to FSCS program activities. This is a year-round role . The position leads and  operates  with the goal that All Rural Students Succeed . This position is  designated  as  an onsite position  and requires work to be performed at the assigned work location during Partners for Rural Impact’s (PRI) regular business hours .   The standard work schedule is  Monday through Friday,  8:00  am to 5:00 pm  ET .   This position may occasionally  require work during the early morning, evening, or weekend hours to support events,  training , meetings,  and  business  or  program needs.

  • Experience coordinating multifaceted programs
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with rural schools and rural communities.
  • Familiarity with the community school model.
  • Associate’s degree and (3) years of experience in education, community engagement or related field  required,  Bachelor’s  degree preferred
