About the role
Seeking an Electronics Assembly Technician who will be responsible for soldering components to a PCB following NASA and IPC standards. The candidate will primarily be responsible for the use of the pick and place machine and component preparation operations. The candidate may perform prepping of components (tinning, resistor measurements, verify kit), wire attachment, component staking, or masking for conformal coating to an engineering drawing and manufacturing traveler. Conformal coating and foaming experience along with cable and harness build is a plus. Pick and place and Vapor Phase experience is a highly desired quality.
What you'll bring
- Certifications: Active or past solder certifications to IPC J-STD-001 (Space Addendum) is required and/or must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
- Candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in Must have at least 1 years of experience in SMT/Pick in Place.
- Technical Skills: Candidate must be proficient with both precision mechanical tools (calibrated torque wrenches, calipers) and hand-soldering equipment under a microscope for extended periods.
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
