About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated Water Resources Intern to join our team of experts. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the civil and environmental engineering industry. You will work alongside senior engineers and scientists on real-world projects that impact infrastructure, water quality, and community resilience throughout Virginia and the National Capital Area.
What you'll bring
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Completed coursework in Fluid Mechanics, Hydrology, or Hydraulics is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil3D and ArcGIS.
- Exposure to H&H software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, or SWMM is a plus.
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
