About the role
The Developmental Trainer/Direct Support Person (DSP) will support the people served at the Locust Avenue Community Day Services Program as they engage in activities of their choice at the program site or in the community.
What you'll bring
- Possess a valid driver’s license with the ability to drive in a variety of weather conditions during the day or evening
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Provide proof of a high school diploma (via transcripts) or GED from an accredited educational institution
- Successfully complete and maintain American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR/First Aid/AED certification
- Successfully complete Direct Support Person training in accordance with IDHS requirements (if not already certified as a Direct Support Person)
- Experience supporting people
- I/DD is preferred
