About the role
CFA Institute is hiring a Finance Business Partner (official internal job title is Finance Business Manager) to act as a strategic FP&A partner to assigned business areas. In this role, you will help leaders understand performance, make informed decisions and connect financial planning to business priorities. You will own core planning and reporting rhythms while also helping the Finance team improve data quality, reporting processes and the way insight is used across the organisation. This is a hands-on business partnering role for someone who can work with the numbers, shape the narrative and bring thoughtful recommendations to senior stakeholders.
What you'll bring
- 5+ years of FP&A and finance business partnering experience
- Strong financial analysis, modelling, forecasting, budgeting and management reporting capability.
- Ability to turn data into a clear business narrative and communicate confidently with senior stakeholders.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with comfort using financial systems and reporting tools.
- Evidence of critical thinking, ownership and judgement: able to identify issues, develop options and recommend a way forward.
- Experience supporting process improvement, data governance, reporting enhancement or finance systems/tooling improvements.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, finance or a related field
- MBA, CPA, CFA progress or another relevant finance qualification.
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, NetSuite or similar ERP / reporting tools.
- Experience supporting product profitability, revenue modelling, vendor analysis or scorecard reporting.
- Interest in using AI tools to improve analysis, review materials or strengthen finance workflows.
- ideally in a mature organisation with structured planning, reporting and allocation processes.
