About the role

As our transportation team continues to grow, we are seeking a Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) Inspector to support a variety of roadway, bridge, transportation, and public infrastructure projects throughout Georgia. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, collaborating with contractors and engineers, and playing a key role in ensuring transportation projects are constructed safely and in accordance with project plans and specifications. This is primarily a field-based position , with approximately 90% field work and 10% office work . Candidates should enjoy working outdoors, traveling to project sites, and working on active transportation and infrastructure projects. As a CEI Inspector, you'll work alongside contractors, project managers, and engineers to inspect construction activities, verify compliance with contract documents, and help deliver successful transportation projects.

What you'll bring

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently in field environments.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work on active construction sites and in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to travel to project sites throughout Georgia as needed.
• CEI experience on GDOT or transportation projects.
• GDOT Roadway Testing Technician (RTT) certification.
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician certification.
• ICC certifications.
• Erosion & Sediment Control (Level IA or IB) certification.
• Experience reading construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
