About the role

CNC Steel Processing Operator Location: Cocoa Beach, FL Starting Pay: Up to $27.00/hour + $3.00/hour night differential Shifts: 2nd Shift Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Position Overview Seeking an experienced CNC Steel Processing Operator to operate and support steel-processing equipment. Experience with one or more of the following is required: Kinetic Plasma Table, Peddinghaus Saw/Drill Line, Peddinghaus Angle Master, or Ficep Beamline . Responsibilities • Set machine controls and select appropriate operating parameters. • Verify material type, stock size, and dimensions. • Measure materials against design specifications. • Mark and transfer required information onto materials. • Operate overhead cranes and material transfer/convey systems safely. • Maintain accurate production and material-usage records. • Perform routine preventative maintenance and assist with troubleshooting. • Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe. Requirements • CNC plasma table experience or experience with steel sawing, drilling, or cutting equipment. • Ability to interpret blueprints, symbols, and notes preferred. • Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16 inch . • Basic math skills. • Ability to manually lift 50 lbs. regularly . • Ability to stand for extended periods. • Comfortable working in hot and cold environments. • Safe operation of overhead cranes and material-handling systems. • Tekla PowerFab experience preferred.
