About the role
The AR Representative IV position is responsible for generating and submitting timely health insurance billing claims and/or patient statements. A subject matter expert in billing, including oversight of staff working on open aging accounts. Oversees team follow-up processes on unpaid claims and resubmission of unpaid claim documents. Assists staff in the appeal process to resolve disputes in contested billing and initiate collection of patient co-payments, deductibles, and open balance amounts through telephone contact, letters, etc. Responsible for A/R trending and department resource allocation concerning the current need for revenue cycle management and revenue recovery.
What you'll bring
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Trade/Technical School certification OR coursework towards BS/BA
- A minimum of 6 years of billing and collections experience is required.
- A healthcare background is strongly preferred with an emphasis on Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- a focus on Business preferred.
