About the role
Reporting to the CHMG Patient Refill Center Pharmacist Lead, will manage medication renewal requests and prior authorizations per CHMG policy and protocol as well other duties as assigned. This position will involve accessing and reviewing patient charts, navigating practice-specific protocols, authorizing medication renewals appropriately, and submitting prior authorization requests that are complete and accurate. This is an administrative position and does not involve direct patient contact. In addition, may be involved in other areas of Central Service support such as inputting of medical records/chart pre-loading as well as assisting in other clerical, environmental and organizational needs.
What you'll bring
- Certified Pharmacy Technician, CPhT
- With completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board CPhT Exam, no experience is required.
- Licensed Nursing Assistant must have a minimum of one year of healthcare experience.
- The Dictionary of Occupational Titles Material Handling Classification is SEDENTARY.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to sit, do activities that require fine motor skills, speak, and hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to bend, kneel, squat, climb, stand, walk, reach, and drive.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
