About the role
We are looking for a Youth Development Support Director to help shape and strengthen inclusive youth programming across the YMCA. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategy with direct practice—approximately half your time will be spent partnering with organizational leaders to improve programs, train staff, and implement best practices, while the other half will be spent in the field working directly with youth, families, and staff to model effective support strategies.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with relevant experience required
- Five or more years of experience supporting youth with disabilities, behavioral needs, or inclusive youth programs
- Experience reviewing IEPs, Section 504 Plans, medical documentation, or related evaluations
- Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, the ADA, positive behavior supports, and child development
- Experience coaching staff, leading change, and implementing organizational practices that improve outcomes for youth
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), Public Administration (MPA), Special Education, Education, or a related field strongly preferred
