About the role

The UAS Military Analyst provides subject matter expertise in Army Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), autonomy, and emerging aviation technologies in support of defense and national security initiatives. The analyst supports capability development, requirements analysis, operational assessments, force modernization, technology integration, and operational employment of UAS platforms and associated systems. This position works closely with military, government, engineering, and operational stakeholders to evaluate current and emerging capabilities, develop operational concepts and recommendations, support requirements development efforts, and translate complex technical information into actionable products for decision-makers. The analyst conducts independent research, analyzes complex aviation and UAS-related issues, and develops high-quality written products supporting Army and Department of Defense organizations. Responsibilities include supporting JCIDS requirements development activities, conducting operational and technical analyses of UAS capabilities, evaluating autonomous and emerging aviation technologies, developing concepts and recommendations, supporting flight and maintenance operations, collaborating with technical teams and operators, and producing white papers, concept papers, requirements documents, operational assessments, briefings, and executive-level recommendations. The analyst must be capable of working independently under broad guidance, managing multiple priorities, and effectively communicating technical and operational information to audiences ranging from engineers and operators to senior military and government leaders.

What you'll bring

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work independently under broad guidance and develop high-quality white papers, concept papers, requirements documents, operational views, and related analytical products.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce graduate-level written products requiring minimal revisions prior to Government delivery.
  • Active DoD SECRET security clearance required.
