About the role
The Lead Caregiver uses sound judgment and initiative to ensure the smooth, efficient operation of the classroom, providing guidance and mentorship to classroom staff and volunteers. From organizing daily activities to supervising classroom routines, this role is hands‑on, collaborative, and deeply impactful shaping both early childhood experiences and a strong, supportive team culture.
What you'll bring
- High school plus additional training equal to 2 years of college, which requires knowledge of a specialized field or may lead to licensing, (data processing, accounting, human services), or formalized apprenticeship program.
- For example, certified substance abuse counselor, bookkeeper, etc.
- Over two years, up to and including four years.
- Other (Specify): On-going monthly in-service training with topics focusing around but not limited to Child Development, Health & Safety, challenging behaviors, curriculum, working with parents etc.
- Experience gathered pre-B.A. degree is acceptable.
- SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Must have excellent communication, organization, supervision and problem-solving skills, flexibility, and willingness to work as a team member.
- Knowledge of and Experience with children ages 0-3 and their families.
