About the role

Veolia has acquired Clean Earth. As Clean Earth completes its integration into Veolia, recruiting and hiring for this role is being managed in partnership with the Clean Earth talent acquisition team. In this role, the CDL Yard Driver will be responsible for transporting waste and hazardous materials between Clean Earth facilities in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations and Clean Earth policies. This role may also be required to operate switchers to dock or reposition containers and other large items using warehouse equipment to assist.

What you'll bring

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be 21 years of age in accordance with FMCSA guidelines
• Possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• Maintain a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and valid TWIC card
• Ability to operate powered equipment such as a forklift
• Strong working knowledge of Environmental/Regulatory/DOT rules and regulations
• Fluency in verbal and written English
• HAZMAT and/or Tanker endorsement preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
• Experience as a yard jockey or hostler or driving box trucks preferred
• Experience with a Vac Truck, straight truck, or combo vehicle as well as roll-off bins/boxes preferred
