About the role

The Role: Academic Advisor As an Academic Advisor, you'll be at the forefront of empowering individuals to navigate their academic and personal journeys successfully.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to education and/or student services
• two (2) years of related work experience
• or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
• Knowledge of student services, including managing, tracking, and supporting a significant student caseload from enrollment through degree/certification completion.
• Knowledge of intrusive advising.
• Knowledge of one-stop enrollment incorporating registration, financial aid, admissions, and similar support.
• Skill in organizing, time management, and prioritizing.
• Skill in working with Microsoft Office and Windows based applications including using a student information system.
• Skill in developing and delivering presentations.
• Ability to provide accurate and sound academic and career advice.
• Ability to be flexible, be creative in problem solving, maintain confidentiality, use sound judgement, collaborate with others, apply initiative, work independently as well as with others, provide sound advice, be discrete, and be self-motivated.
• Master’s degree preferred
