About the role

Bose Software Organization is seeking an experienced Senior Firmware Manager who can lead and drive our embedded software solutions of consumer electronic products to the next level of excellence and evolve the software technology along the products roadmap. This is a position requiring both strong leadership across regions and hands-on technical experience driving consistent embedded software to accommodate foreseeable many years of product roadmap. It requires one to embrace ‘can-do’ attitude and possess business acumen of understanding priorities, cost effectiveness, and significance of on-time deliveries with fast turnaround and well-planned software activities.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years of embedded software development experience across the full product lifecycle (requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support).
• 10+ years of cross-functional technical leadership delivering embedded products from concept through mass production.
• 5+ years of people management experience leading high-performing engineering teams of 10+ engineers.
• Proven experience hiring, mentoring, developing, and managing engineering talent.
• Demonstrated success delivering commercial embedded products on schedule, within budget, and meeting quality/KPI targets.
• Experience leading multiple cross-functional engineering teams and collaborating with Product, Program Management, Hardware, Quality, UX, Cloud, and other disciplines.
• Experience defining technical requirements, project estimates, resource planning, prioritization, and execution.
• Strong expertise in embedded software architecture, software design, and scalable software development practices.
• Experience with C and/or C++ for embedded systems.
• Experience developing embedded Linux and Android native software.
