About the role
Upchurch is seeking an experienced Project Safety Coordinator to support an active construction project in Austin, Texas, Widows Creek, Alabama, Reno, Nevada and Frederick, Maryland. This on-site role is responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and partnering with project leadership to proactively manage risk. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in construction safety, incident investigation, and workers’ compensation management, with the ability to work effectively with both field and corporate safety teams, the General Contractor (GC) and/or Owner Rep. Upchurch is seeking an experienced Project Safety Coordinator to support an active construction project in Austin, Texas, Widows Creek, Alabama, Reno, Nevada and Frederick, Maryland. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in construction safety, incident investigation, and workers’ compensation management, with the ability to work effectively with both field and corporate safety teams, the General Contractor (GC) and/or Owner Rep.
What you'll bring
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction safety management.
- Collaborate closely with Upchurch project leadership creating but not limited to the following:
- Pre-Task Plans (PTP), Method of Procedures (MOP) and lift plans.
- Demonstrated experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Safety-related education, certification, degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to facilitate training for on-site team members (such as, but not limited to:
- OSHA 500 certification preferred.
- or relevant coursework preferred.
