About the role
This is a rare opportunity to lead a brand-new NuvemRx pharmacy embedded within a community health center in Galena, IL, a charming, historic town in the heart of northwest Illinois. You won’t be stepping into a pre-built routine; you’ll be building something meaningful from the ground up. As Pharmacist-in-Charge and Pharmacy Manager, you will serve as the clinical and operational leader of this site, partnering directly with health center providers, managing day-to-day pharmacy operations, and serving as a trusted member of the patient care team. You’ll have the autonomy to shape the patient experience and grow the pharmacy’s impact within the community. This role reports to NuvemRx Pharmacy leadership and works in close partnership with our health center client and its clinical staff. You’re energized by the idea of building something new; this is a launch role, and you’re excited to shape the culture, processes, and patient experience from day one. You lead by example and take genuine pride in the quality of care your pharmacy delivers. You build strong relationships naturally, with patients, providers, and teammates alike.

- Licensed pharmacist (PharmD or BS Pharmacy) in good standing with current Illinois licensure or eligibility to obtain it.
- Demonstrated ability to manage pharmacy operations independently, with a strong track record in patient care and compliance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- comfortable engaging with patients, providers, and clinical staff at all levels.
- Comfortable operating in an independent, community-focused setting with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain composure in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
