About the role
AECOM is currently seeking an Environmental Technician for employment in Fort Collins, CO office. In this role, you will primarily work with Project Manager to support remedial operations, maintenance, and monitoring projects throughout the state of Colorado, New Mexico, Montana and potentially other locations. The candidate will ideally have experience in general construction and environmental remediation/sampling. Hands-on mechanical experience and interests preferred (examples include construction, home repair, and auto maintenance). Typical projects include operating and maintaining groundwater treatment systems, construction of support buildings/facilities, groundwater and soil sampling, and wastewater treatment support. What you'll bring
- Must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
- The candidate will ideally have experience in general construction and environmental remediation/sampling.
- Hands-on mechanical experience and interests preferred (examples include construction, home repair, and auto maintenance).
- Ability to obtain the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) within 30 days of hire
- Mechanical skills and hands-on skills
- Experience with various media sampling (soil, groundwater, and waste).
- Experience with health and safety programs, and effective communication skills (verbal, field notes, etc.).
