About the role

A Police Officer is responsible for responding to calls for service and assistance requests; they are entrusted with safeguarding our community. Response may be on foot or by driving from place to place in a squad car. Police Officers proactively and reactively enforce Federal, State of Colorado, and Town of Granby (local) laws by making physical arrests and issuing summons to violators. They are required to prepare reports on actions taken and testify in a court of law when required.

What you'll bring

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice or other appropriate field of study or, any equivalent combination of education, experience, or training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities is preferred.
