About the role
The Senior Solid State NMR Scientist provides laboratory support in solid-state NMR (ssNMR) data collection and interpretation for pharmaceutical materials.
What you'll bring
- Ph.D. degree in chemistry or equivalent field with expertise in ssNMR or a B.A./M.S degree in pharmaceutical science, chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field with 2-3+ years of ssNMR experience
- Experience with ssNMR sample preparation, data acquisition, and interpretation of 1D and 2D spectra
- Experience in solid state characterization techniques (such as x-ray powder diffraction, polarized light microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis, spectroscopy, etc.) is an advantage.
- Experience and understanding of vibrational spectroscopy (FTIR, NIR, FT-Raman) is an advantage.
- Understanding of physical, analytical, and organic chemistry.
- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
- Good organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
- A strong interest and motivation to learn new technologies and concepts is expected.
