About the role

This is a training series position that will allow applicants to be hired as a Police Officer 1 or Police Officer 2 based on qualifications.

What you'll bring

• Applicants must have a current Civil Service test score for 2100-PSE-Protective Services Exam for Law Enforcement in order to be considered for this vacancy unless exempted by Civil Service rule or policy.
• If you do not have a test score prior to applying to this posting, it may result in your application not being considered.
• Applicants without current test scores can apply to take the test at https://jobs.civilservice.louisiana.gov
• One year of law enforcement experience.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
• Possession of a current Louisiana driver's license.
• Possession of an active Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification may be required.
• An applicant who has been convicted of a felony or who is under indictment on a felony charge will be disqualified until relief from the disabilities imposed by state and federal laws is granted.
• Any college hours or degree must be from a school accredited by one of the following regional accrediting bodies:  the Middle States Commission on Higher Education
