About the role
The Production Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently handling liquid and dry chemical products, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance throughout all warehouse and transfer operations. This hands-on role involves mixing and blending chemicals, loading and unloading trucks, tankers, and railcars; operating forklifts and other industrial equipment; repackaging and labeling materials; and maintaining precise inventory records. No two days are the same; you will work with a variety of products, equipment, and processes in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail truly matters. What you'll bring
- High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or US military experience. • Candidates with prior experience in working with chemical operations (2+ years) may be considered if education or service requirements are not fully met.
- Possess or able to pass exam to obtain Forklift Operators certification and demonstrate ability to operate a forklift safely.
- Ability to read, comprehend and carry out detailed and simple instructions in English and write simple correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
- Ability to learn and operate technology-based devices such as smart phones, tablets, computers, PLCs, operational technology equipment, etc. to carry out normal business operations.
- Comply with placarding rules when loading or unloading trucks
- Participate in ongoing safety program including safety meetings and trainings
- Must be available to work any days of the week, any assigned 8-12 hour shift
- Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed
- Good safety and attendance record
- Ability to work cooperatively with other departments and personnel
- Observe, follow and enforce all company policies and procedures
