About the role
The primary function of this role is to provide Personal Care Assistance - or Certified Nursing Assistance services to the individual in their home. These tasks include:
What you'll bring
- High School Diploma or GED
- First Aid and CPR certification
- CNA/ PCT certification required
- Must be very familiar with or previously trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
- Must be very familiar and efficient with working with individuals with behaviors.
- Must have at least three(3) years of RECENT experience in a health-related field, nursing homes, day program services, home health care, private duty care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Must be able to provide references and contacts of previous employers.
- Must have experience working with wheelchair bound patients, able to lift and assist with transfers, and or utilize a hoyer lift.
- Above average communication skills: oral and written
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to transport individuals as needed
- Must be able to work independently without direct supervision
- Must be able to pay attention to detail and report adequately.
