About the role

We are looking for a hands-on L2 Network Support Engineer to support our client's network infrastructure across their Hershey, PA headquarters, nearby offices, and manufacturing plant locations. In this onsite role, you will be the go-to resource for day-to-day network support covering SD-WAN, LAN, Wireless Access Points, and Cisco/Arista switching environments. This is a support-focused role — you will troubleshoot and resolve network issues, assist in minor configurations, and ensure smooth connectivity across all sites. This is a fully onsite role based primarily at the client's Hershey, PA headquarters. Regular travel to nearby office locations and manufacturing plants is expected as part of the role. Occasional off-hours availability may be needed during outages or planned maintenance windows.

What you'll bring

  • 6 – 8 years of hands-on network support experience in a corporate or manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of SD-WAN concepts and basic troubleshooting (VeloCloud, Meraki, Viptela, or similar).
  • Comfortable working with Cisco and/or Arista switches — VLANs, port configuration, STP basics.
  • Experience supporting Wireless Access Points (Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, or equivalent) — connectivity issues, controller checks, AP replacements.
  • Understanding of LAN fundamentals — IP addressing, subnetting, DHCP, DNS, and basic routing.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and following ITSM/change management processes.
  • Ability to read basic network diagrams and escalate appropriately to L3 engineers.
  • Good communication skills — able to coordinate with site staff, plant operators, and remote IT teams.
  • Willingness to travel to nearby offices and manufacturing plant sites as needed.
  • Reliable and proactive — someone who follows through on open tickets and doesn't let issues linger.
  • Comfortable in onsite, hands-on settings including manufacturing plant floors.
  • A team player who communicates clearly and escalates when needed — no lone wolf troubleshooting.
