About the role
NOTE: This role is currently located in Windsor, CT until it permanently moves to Holyoke, MA, which is currently expected to occur in 2028.
What you'll bring
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Engineering, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field, plus 2+ years of relevant experience
- or Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field plus 5+ years of relevant experience.
- 2+ years of experience in power system planning/research, including optimization, probabilistic resource and energy adequacy assessment, and/or production cost (economic dispatch) simulation.
- Strong quantitative and data analysis skills, including working with large, complex datasets to identify trends, drivers, and sensitivities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, lead workstreams, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of planning and operating criteria/standards and the reliability framework (e.g., ISO/RTO practices, NERC, NPCC).
- We will also consider a Senior or Lead.
- This is a U.S. based role.
- If the successful candidate resides outside of the U.S., relocation will be required.
