About the role

The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) provides comprehensive healthcare services to individuals recovering from substance use disorders. The APN collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based treatments, psychiatric care, and holistic recovery support. This role emphasizes patient-centered care, harm reduction, and relapse prevention while promoting long-term wellness.

What you'll bring

• ·         Passion for faith-based addiction recovery and alignment with the mission of Adult & Teen Challenge.
• ·         Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing (MSN/DNP) with board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP).
• ·         Licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the practicing state.
• ·         DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.
• ·         Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• ·         Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
• ·         Willingness to work evening or weekend shifts to accommodate patient needs.
• ·         Must be able to pass drug and nicotine test.
• Work effectively with culturally diverse population and be sensitive to the needs of each population.
• Communicate compassionately and effectively with clients, health care professionals, and the general public.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and treating substance use disorders (SUDs) and co-occurring mental health conditions.
• Understanding of addiction as a chronic disease and ability to apply trauma-informed care principles.
