About the role
The Robotics Product Security Engineer will secure Field AI’s autonomous robotic platforms operating in complex real-world environments. You will work closely with robotics, autonomy, and infrastructure teams to design, assess, and improve the security of deployed robotic systems throughout their lifecycle. Your work will directly impact the safety, resilience, and trustworthiness of autonomous systems deployed in the field. You will contribute to secure system design, threat modeling, deployment security, and adversarial assessment of robotic platforms operating under real-world conditions.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field
- 8+ years of experience in product security, systems security, embedded security, application security, or related security engineering roles
- Strong software engineering and systems engineering fundamentals
- Experience securing embedded systems, robotics platforms, autonomous systems, IoT devices, or edge computing environments
- Experience with Linux systems, networking, authentication, and secure systems design
- Familiarity with embedded Linux hardening, secure communications, device identity, or OTA update mechanisms
- Experience with threat modeling, security architecture reviews, penetration testing, or adversarial security assessments
- Ability to identify practical security risks and implement effective mitigations in complex distributed systems
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across robotics, autonomy, and infrastructure teams
- Practical engineering judgment and the ability to balance security, operational constraints, reliability, and development velocity
